Another PC12 for Sounds Air

Arriving into Auckland from Sydney last night was VH-VWO, another Pilatus PC12 for Sounds Air... Their website suggests this may be registered as ZK-PLV. It will be interesting to see how it is used.

VH-VWO arrives into Auckland on 20 November 2016

  1. Nice one Sounds Air. That's 5 PC12's and 5 Caravans now

  2. I saw their Gold PC-12 in Nelson yesterday afternoon. What function / routes is that operating?

  3. The golden one often comes to Christchurch they must move it around the network. This 5th one could be a spare as they only need 4 to cover all the existing flying.

  4. The gold one was in and out of Paraparaumu a couple of times on Sunday.

    1. Possibly in place of the caravan doing the Kaikoura work (someone above said they saw it in Nelson)

  6. I think the PC12 is a great investment for Sounds Air. I personally would like to see them take over the NSN-PMR route as I don't see Origin lasting too long... other routes considered in future could be WSZ-CHC, WLG-HKK, NSN-NPE, BHE-PMR and NSN-NPL

    1. Instead of expanding quickly, I'd like to see an alliance between Sounds Air and the other small airlines operating around the top of the north island where a passenger could travel around the country with 1 or 2 stops.
