Air New Zealand Fleet Breaks a Century

For those of you who keep track of such things, you may have noticed that the Air New Zealand Group fleet reached a significant milestone with the arrival of ZK-OAB.

With the arrival of ZK-OJQ on 19 February, Air New Zealand will have a total of 50 jet aircraft in the fleet, and last month they reached another milestone when it reached a total of 100 aircraft in the Air New Zealand fleet in total.  Later in year, Air New Zealand will gain ZK-OKO (March) and lose two B747’s, but we will remain above the 100 mark going forward.

The total breakdown is as follows:
B747-400: 6          
B777-300:  2 (on delivery of ZK-OKN on Feb 17)
B777-200: 8            

B767-300ER: 5     
A320-200: 14 (on delivery of ZK-OJQ on Feb 19)         
B737-300: 15         
  TOTAL JET - 50        

ATR72-500: 11   
Q300: 23             
B1900D: 18            
TOTAL PROP - 52
