Terrorism or Mischief???

Two Sounds Air light aircraft were broken into at Nelson Airport, prompting the managing director of the company to call the culprits "scumbags" and "pathetic". "Who in their right minds would interfere with aircraft. It's an act of terrorism in Nelson. They are obviously idiots," Sounds Air managing director Andrew Crawford said. The planes broken into on Sunday night were small planes used for scenic flights around Nelson, he said. Nelson police spokeswoman Lisa Colville said miscellaneous items, including extension seatbelts, a log book and a life jacket were reported stolen from the planes, which were parked among some other planes at the airport. The doors of the two planes were forced open.
